Knowledgable guides and beautiful views
Apr. 2019 • Solo
A must do when in the Wanaka region! This tour offered something for everyone with amazing views, fascinating history, knowledgable guides, sights of European Read deer, and unique interaction with 4 fawns, 3 lambs and 6 alpacas. My expectations were already high upon booking this tour, and they were thoroughly exceeded.

Explore tour
Apr. 2019 • Family
We went on the Explore Tour with our two boys (6 and 3 years old). Our tour guide was Jamie and the experience was fantastic! Jamie was very easy to chat to and was a wealth of knowledge about the station, farming in New Zealand and the local area. We saw and learnt about deer, and the kids were lucky enough to get to feed a baby deer! The 1.5 hour tour was well worth it. Highly recommend!

Shearers Quarters Accommodation
Feb. 2019 • Couples
We stayed two nights in the Shearers Quarters recently. The authenticity and concept is great and ‘shabby chic’ is very fashionable now a days. However this accommodation is in desperate need of maintenance and deep cleaning. It may have been lovingly restored at the outset when the website pictures were taken but now lacks any TLC. A tip - the bathroom facilities are in the main quarters and therefore if you need them at night the only access is by going outside and back in. The linen and equipment within the accommodation are very good. The inclusive continental breakfast is adequate. You may need to add extra food to supplement. Such a pity. A lovely location, very quiet and a great concept.

Criffel Station - Best View in Wanaka!
Jan. 2019 • Family
This morning we meet Mandy the delightful owner of Criffel Station for a tour of the farm.
The highlights were feeding the fawns, ( baby deer) and driving by 4wd up to Henry's Hut at the very back of the farm. The view from Henry's Hut of Lake Wanaka & the surrounding mountains is very special & spectacular!
This is a a fantastic tour to do if you are in Wanaka, it's great way to see a unique & authentic part of New Zealand and to get away from the crowds in Wanaka.
We LOVED it!

Thanks Mandy

Farm tour
Jul. 2018 • Family
An excellent couple of hours activity with young kids. It was personal and not commercial, with Lex being a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Feeding animals, sitting in a tractor and learning something about the life of a Kiwi farmer. Thank you.

One of the highlight of our trip in NZ.
May 2018 • Family
Beautiful farm with breathtaking mountain backdrops and happy animals running around the paddocks. Our 1.5 years old loved it! We got up close to the animal and got a chance to feed them and take photos. Small group which is great, in fact it was just the three of us in the tour, so we got our own little private tour. Tour was a bit pricey but well worth it as it was just the three of us with our guide in a comfy toyota torango - driving us through this massive farm.

Criffel Farm Tour
Apr. 2018 • Couples
What a superb and very special afternoon we had touring all over this magnificent property that is indeed a deer farm! Thousands of huge healthy deer running
wild on lush green hills and valleys. We were exceptionally fortunate to have an educational visit with the congenial owner Jerry Bell. We were fascinated by the economics of the NZ industry and awestruck with the views. As we rode high above the station we picked his mind with a million questions and he happily shared his passion for his career and family with us. "NZ at it's best" was to combine all this natural beauty with a warm and friendly local entrepreneur. Many thanks for a magical experience!
