One of our best climbs in SL. Everybody seems to have a slightly different way to get to the top and most likely you will come down a different path. We discovered a hard way up using our phone GPS and followed others down. It's...More

A pleasent amble out of Ella, following the train tracks towards Kandy, is a reward enough in itself. The gentle incline, looping around the horseshoe lee of the landscape, crossing waterfalls and rivers and seeing local life. Approaching the correct turn off is a tricky...More

We had read about the hike so many times, the directions and watched videos.. still got lost. There are still fake signs up telling you to go every which way but ultimately paid someone to take us to the main track. Paid $9Aud between a...More

We did a long hike all the way across ella's rock. It was nice because it was almost deserted and had the place to our selfs later we learned that the forest is prohibited so you need to watch for that.

Definitely too exhausting in my opinion. Adams peak on the other side should be doable and the view is just as great

The shorter route might take 3 1/2 - 4 hours and the longer route would take roughly 5 hours up and down. However longer route has the best views, so it's up to you to decide !
