We had the Monday morning 10.30 - 12.00 tour and were well looked after by Andrew and Graham Nutter, the owners. They described wine-making in general and their operation in particular. The vineyard is relatively small and over the years has been more and more focussed on quality. The equipment is mostly new and, for example, Andrew explained the amazing advances in picking techniques that machines now allow. Naturally, there was a tasting afterwards and because we were self-catering we could buy examples of the red, rose and white to take back. I thought they were excellent value: reds are mainly Syrah-based, rose Grenache and the whites a combination of Vermentino and Viognier. Definitely a place to visit!
They also have gites "for authentic holiday stays".

Very well appointed vineyard buildings. We were lucky enough to have the owner Graham Nutter as our guide. After the tour of the facilities, and a talk on how the wine is made, comes the tasting. We bought several cases of wine, though we were not under obligation!
Hope to return when there is a concert in the music room. We just missed a jazz concert as it was sold out, so see their website for whats on!
We are home now, and the wine travelled well, tasting just as good here as it did there, though the weather is a lot cooler here in the UK!

A wonderful weekend of good food, wine-tasting, a superlative piano concert, and attentive management. Plus informative visits to the vineyards and wine-making, in a beautiful and historic landscape.

I've visited St Jacques a few times and on every occasion it has been nothing short of wonderful - beautiful location, welcoming hosts and lovely accommodation.

The vineyard itself is stunning, it's great to spend an afternoon wandering around the vines and finishing it off with a wine tasting from the extremely knowledgeable team.

The gites themselves are homely and modern, everything you could need is provided. Sitting out on the terrace with a BBQ and a glass of the vineyard's wine is a great end to the day!

Whilst the local area is quiet, don't let this put you off as there's many beautiful towns within a short drive (or bike ride!) all with fabulous restaurants and loads of history!

I can't wait for my next visit!

I had such a wonderful weekend with friends at this beautiful vineyard. Charlotte, who welcomed us, was extremely accommodating and knowledgable and gave us a wonderful evening of wine tasting. We enjoyed cycling around the local area to take in the stunning scenery and the swimming pool was an added bonus, especially in such a gorgeous setting. I’d highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back, in the meantime I’ll keep enjoying the few bottles of wine I returned home with - all an absolute joy. Thank you team!

The owners have obviously put their heart and soul into this fantastic place. It doesn’t disappoint at any level. The surrounding Languedoc landscape is classically beautiful rural France, the accommodation is of a very high quality, and the wine is wonderful. Especially the really tasty Domaine d’Albas - strongly recommended. Definitely do the wine tasting - owner Graham and his team are fabulous and very knowledgable hosts in the impressive tasting room. The pool is a big plus too. All in all, peaceful, relaxing, welcoming, and the ideal spot for a get-away.

We were lucky enough to book a long weekend at the winery as our base for trips to Carcassone and the Cathar castles. The two bedroom apartment was spotless and welcoming; sunset walks were the vineyards, as late summer winds blew through the fields, were refreshing. Grapes were being harvested; the first crush fermenting, when Alina took us through the grounds and introduced us to the winemakers. Graham gave us good tourist tips and eating advice; his dog, Syrah played with us and our small terrier. Well off the beaten path, this is a place to enjoy France and the hospitality of amazing hosts. How lucky we are that a local distributor carries their wines in our area.

Appart from being a bit far from any sign of life, this gîtes is perfect if you are looking for quality and quiet in your holidays. All is relaxed and friendly, the place is restored with a goal of quality and authenticity, the pool is spacious and heated, and in the region you have lots of stuff todo, if you are willing to drive ...

A great place to visit for tasting and buying wine. We had lunch provided by ‘Fait Maison’ which was an outstanding 4 courses described as a picnic, but included home made terrine & tapenade as a starter followed by much else - all lubricated by excellent wine from the Chateau and music from the grand piano (we provided the pianist). Most convivial.
