The mercato has changed a lot and is now mostly selling cheap chinese clothes. The food is overprized ... and we bought some specialities that tasted like their best days were long gone. Sad.

There are lots of stalls at these markets but many offer very similar products, clothing, bags, jewellery, shoes. We arrived via train and the markets begin just outside the station. If you arrive by car you can park at the supermarket Coop (via Ghiringhelli) or...More

You can stroll for hours, seeing bags, shoes, clothes, etc. Also the food part is amazing. Cheese, sausages, fruit, vegetables and many people to see and meet. Having a nice day in Luino

As a frequent visitor to Italy over the past 20 years, it is sad to realize that its markets lost its authenticity in time. This market seemed like any other market around the world full of Chinese products and nothing much Italian. The only exception...More

This marketplace is terrific. We have been there three times over the years. They have good leather products and the Italian meats and cheeses are outstanding.

Avoid the market in Luino. Unless you need 1000 stalls offering t-shirts, fake sunglasses, cheap shoes and other varieties of clothing. Or cheap "African" art and leather wares. If that is your fancy then it is the right place. If you look for anything authentic...More

As many reviewers already said, this is the famous big market which takes place in Luino every Wednesday (8:30am - 16:00pm). Clothes, local food products, bags, leather products (shoes, belts). Prices range very low (for made in China cheap stuffs) to pretty high (good genuine...More
