This is an old ampitheatre for opera and plays. We weren't able to see an opera, but I'd imagine if you like opera then it would be a great experience. You get a discount if you can show your tickets for another Macerata museum like...More

I visited the Sferisterio during the day. You pay a modest fee at the desk at the entrance and are free to wander around to a limited extent. Opening hours are 09.00 to 16.00. There is a guided tour in Italian, which would have been...More

The Sferisterio is a fascinating space for opera, concerts and theater. I would love to see a production there, especially of an Italian opera.

I'm more of a rock-jazz-tango music fan but seeing an Opera live at Sferisterio, was a very nice experience. Grate surroundings and I really liked the live music and to some degree the singing.

Fantastic season, great sound in a open air arena. La traviata was excellent, the stage was amazing so were the singers and dancers. Expensive but worth it.

Sferisterio is the lyric heart of Macerata. You can't miss the chance to visit it, no matter if it's opera or a concert going on. You'll be pleased <3
