This place is lovely. We came here for the chocolate, which although nice, isn't a touch on swiss chocolate. The torn is gorgeous though. The only discuss is the back stats aren't very accessible with a pushchair.

This is definitely worth a visit to walk around! The town appears to be built up the side of a steep hill. The balconied baroque buildings have a charm of their own although most of the stonework could do with a good clean! There is unusual architecture around every bend. There are several fantastic churches and the Theatre Garibaldi is... More

Together with Ragusa Ibla, Modica is definitely my favorite of the Val di Noto list. It's a bit more difficult to visit as the other towns as it's not exactly on the way to anywhere, but it's definitely worth a trip on its own. Must-visit on a trip to south Sicily!

We really enjoyed our visit, but the town is built on several hills so if you, want to see it at its best and walk around you need energy and good shoes. Walking is the best way however to see all the churches and little streets and the fantastic views of the town when you get to a peak. The views... More

Interesting place to stay. We had one day looking around the town itself and the rest of our days were spent in trips to nearby locations. We stayed for 7 nights and I would have said our hire car was essential for this holiday. We stayed in an apartment in the old town which was beautiful. It was quiet and... More

This, together with Ragusa, Noto and Scicli is a must see baroque city. Like Scicli is in a deep valley, with most of the center of town in the valley and the houses climbing the walls in both sides. The town is relatively large, has beautiful churches and palaces, small alleys climbing the valley and boasts a rich history. It... More
