I have just arrived from Moscow where we visited the Museum of Contemporary History. It was fantastic - but it was also interesting to see the translation to a Norwegian context. Worth while - and there is a lot more to see!

It's a very nice visit to the old Power Station with some nice details about the Heavy water production and sabotage during WWII.

You have to park the car and then walk 700 meters up on the hill. It´s a hard walk. Sometimes there are buss or taxi available for the trip. The building i large especially the turbin hall. There are some small exhibition showing the former...More

This Hydro Plant was featured in the film The Heroes of Telemark and whilst the Heavy Water plant has long gone it was still a very special place to visit. Some of the generators and control gear are still in situ which is always good...More
