Not really a special or big beach. Mostly black sands and black rocks. There’s a beach bar, but it was closed when we were there.

This is one of the few beaches with sand, facilities, lifeguards and a cafe. All is very well looked after and beach is generally clean - still quite a bit of plastic debris on the sand along with the wood, but they are trying to...More

Great beach spot with bar, small restaurant, bathrooms, showers, free parking, lifeguards, and Surfing lessons. Waves are very strong and lifeguards are cautious and make you move to safer spots when they see fit. Pretty cliffs to the far side.

Nice beach. One of the best in Açores. Water with good temperature but strong currents. Be careful with children. Has a specific area for games and a surf spot with rental and lessons.

Nice relaxed beach. Large car park but never too busy. Lifeguards, so a good safe place for the family, whether sun bathing or getting in for a swim. A surfing beach, so big waves are obviously a possibility, and on our second visit the beach...More
