This is a very impressive castle ruin on the top of a mountain with great views all around. It is a steep drive up the mountain with parking at the top. You pay a small fee to enter - when we arrived in the late...More

It was the first time it has rained in two months, we were so little lucky having left British rain behind, ha, ha! We randomly drove then decided on here. Boys loved the "scary" drive up to it and a very pleasant walk round and...More

Castel de Santueri is a fun site located at the end of a long single track road. Definitely one to drive to. Entrance costs 4 euro and is well worth it for the spectacular views and interesting explanations (detailed in a free brochure available at...More

Thank you very much for your visit and your comment.

Fantastic situation - worth just visiting the car park - and wonderful views. But the site is VERY uneven. The man at the entrance assured me it was flat and easy after the initial entrance stairs and that my husband, who'd recently had a new...More

Great location with 360 degrees of views. Rough paths and lots of opportunities for clambering. However it is a huge missed opportunity to tell the story of the castle. Minimum information in handout and a bit of a jigsaw puzzle to work out which building...More

You can wander round the ruined castle to your heart's content. Great views of the island. A few walls and ruined buildings bit worth the drive up the hill.

Hard to find but nice view from the top. Not many buildings left so the best part was the view. No restrooms on sight so be prepared.

A lot is missing but there is still a huge amount to see. Fantastic views from a castle that would have been virtually impossible to attack with siege towers, trebuchets or by mining. With wells and space to grow food this place would have been...More

This looks quite impressive but inside those walls there is literally nothing. Poor and dangerous paths, rubble, no information whatsoever, and quite frankly the best view is from the car park before you get robbed of €4 each. Compared to Sant Salvador, which is free,...More
