Having read about this site in the UK I was determined to visit it on our trip to Spain. Well worth it. The site, particularly the Greek section is large but eAsy to walk round following the excellent route in the audio guide which is...More

The information through the audio guides is excellent. Also the meseum is nice, not too big. Parking is cheap and partly included in the museum ticket.

This was very interesting but there is very little shade. The audio guide was great, very informative and atmospheric. The museum offered some coolness about two thirds of the way round with a vending machine for water. Allow a few hours for the visit.

This site is very impressive and makes a great day out. The audio guide included in the price is very interesting with adult and child commentaries. There isn't much shade, but the air conditioned museum is half way round between the Greek and Roman ruins...More

We took the bus from Girona to L'Escala then walked along the promenade to the Ruins of Empuries. Lovely walk. The ruins are exceptionally good value, only 5.5 Euro per adult which includes an entertaining audio guide. We spent a few hours there happily. Be...More

While there are a number of great Greek and Roman ruins around Europe, Empuries stands out for both its history and the way in which life during the Greek and Roman times was lived. There are certainly more substantial and better preserved ruins around Europe,...More

Stroll the ruins of an ancient Greek & Roman community with the most informative & charming (free) audioguide you might ever listen to. The excavation is still in progress but what has been restored suggests a great deal about the lives and livelihoods of the...More

There is a beach there but we didn't use it. If you have a car there are plenty if beaches in the area. 😊

I am not sure. I don't remember seeing any dogs but that doesn't mean they are not allowed. Sorry I cannot be more helpful.
