Lovely tranquil beach. Even though a lot of seaweed had been deposited on the beach - you cannot fault nature - the whole bay itself was lovely. You cannot swim in the ocean, the waves are too fierce - it didn't stop me paddling at the water's edge though. We paid the young man for a couple of loungers and... More

my husband and I rented a car and visited the beach for the day as we had read the reviews and they did not disappoint. Its one of the most stunning beaches I have ever seen, it was like the stereotypical paradise beach you see on screen savers and in films. It was very secluded and only a few people... More

I came here (from England) with a friend (from France). A few of my friends from the island suggested that given the seaweed problem, I should not visit. I'm so glad I didn't listen! This stunning beach took my breath away, and was by far the best I saw on the island (and I went round the entire island). An... More

Every time I'm in Barbados this is a must stop for me local vendor kaydoo will supply you with beds and fresh coconuts, sit in paradise with the lapping waves, swaying coconut palms this is truly paradise. Be careful of the sea it does have attitude here only swim if you are a very strong swimmer.

Bottom Bay is literally like the most magnificent tropical postcards and posters you have seen of beaches all over the world. Except it is in real life! Even if you do nothing but stand on the coral cliffs and gaze down through the tall slender coconut palms to the white sandy beach below, to the clear aquamarine waters and baby... More

A picturesque beach which was deserted when we visited. It was just us, the palm trees, sand and sea. Beware of the south east coast waves which can give you a tumble if you get the timing wrong. The palm trees offer welcome shade. This really is a picture postcard beach.

Hired a mini moke for the day and travelled around the island visiting various beaches. Bottom Bay is beautiful, secluded and one of the most stunning in Barbados. As long as you prefer seclusion rather than beach bars and facilities then this is beach is for you.

Bottom bay is the iconic desert island beach. To reach it, you park at the top of some steps which are not apparent at first, when we visited there were three locals at the top of the steps, they were selling coconut water and other soft drinks, they were really friendly and interesting to talk to. The beach which is... More

I felt this place really lived up to the hype. The seaweed was mostly gone, and minimal trash. We had the beach to ourselves for about 40 minutes, it was magical.

We stopped here on a drive around the south of the island, it's a nice secluded beach great for a few photos. The sea is not really suitable for swimming and the currents can be strong. We were more or less the only people on the beach other than a couple of vendors selling shells and coconut cocktails. Overall nice... More
