I hear the train a coming, it’s rolling round the bend I haven’t had so much fun since I don’t know when I’m on the Kettle Valley Steam Rail the good times will prevail...... This is the second time our family has experienced this wonderful trip back in time and it is not the last! The staff were wonderful and... More

One of the primary attractions in Summerland. Perhaps a bit pricey, but a nice way to spend a couple of hours and ride on a turn of the century train. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

The restoration of this section of the Kettle Valley Railway and the steam locomotive is an amazing achievement. We sat in the vintage car with windows that open and blankets supplied for a chilly day. The ride was beautiful - about 35 minutes each way with a rest stop at the turnaround. The conductor provided entertaining commentary along with the... More

This is a fun thing to do in the summer. The trip winds it way slowly through rock faces, cacti plants and farms and ranches where you can see horses, cows, chickens and even a llama or two. Singer is fun especially with kids. The crew is friendly and helpful.

We've ridden this train twice and have really enjoyed it both times. The steam engine, the scenery, the on-board musical entertainment, the "find it" game and the staff all make it a great experience. Among other beautiful scenery, we even saw a black bear up in a tree! Back at the depot, there are lots of historical items in the... More

We had a great time riding the train! Our kids are obsessed with all kinds of vehicles, and were so excited when we told them we would be going on a steam train! The whole experience was great! Unfortunately it was rainy and cool the day we went, and we had booked an open air car. But they wiped all... More
