We stopped here for lunch and were told a 1-1/2 hr wait. I told my husband to "hold on," and within 20 min we were seated. Listening to Celtic music as we had lunch was really nice entertainment, as well as a Celtic dance. Packed place, sit with other people.

This I a popular place for lunch and Celtic Music; open at 11:30 and onwards for about 4 hours, the restaurant area was almost full. We were entertained by an acoustic keyboard and fiddle; quite interesting in their technique but certainly not toe tapping or hand clapping; a new type of music without too many rests or change of pace.... Our feet were pulsating to the music while we had an excellent lunch. We visited the center twice on our trip to Cape Breton Island. The musicians are good and engaging.

We stopped at the Celtic Interpretive Center to visit their museum, have lunch, and enjoy the live music. At $8 per person for this small museum it did seem high priced compared to other museums of this size. However we enjoyed reading about the exhibits. And we especially liked pushing the buttons on the wall to hear the different types... More

Have stopped here a couple of years in a row during Celtic Colours, the annual Cape Breton festival of Celtic music, dance, and culture. The food at the "Ceilidh Pub" section has always been great, with imaginative combinations of ingredients, and the music even better. While I've been there, the stage has typically rotated through a couple of different musicians,... More

When we stopped here we weren't at the right time for the lunch and LIVE music but we still enjoyed the stop. A cute little gift shop, bought some music CD's. Friendly staff.

This is a really nice way to spend an afternoon. We passed by on a Sunday, and the Centre offers live music from 2P-5P. The band was good, and there were a number of locals that came to dance, which was fun to watch. Food and drink is served, and there is a small gift shop where we picked out... More

During our recent trip to Nova Scotia, and specifically Cape Breton, we wanted to be sure we experienced the local music. The Celtic Music Interpretive Centrewas was actually a very pleasant surprise, and "a must see" if your ever in the Mabou/Inverness area of Cape Breton. The music was more than memorable, and the lunch a pleasant surprise, as well...excellent... More
