We really enjoyed our afternoon at this beach. It was not very busy. It is south-facing and as a result, very enjoyable if you like the sun. We only saw a few jellyfish and a few hermit crabs. The water was very clear and the bottom was nice and sandy. You can walk along the shore in both directions. The view of the Confederation Bridge adds to the beautiful view. There were two lifeguards on duty. There are washrooms with showers. Use of this beach was free and parking is free!

A perfect spot when the tide is out for families to go and relax. With a lot of red sand beach to explore, the Confederation Bridge as a backdrop and ocean water to swim in, it was perfect. Change rooms, washrooms and a water hose available to use after your day exploring.

We wanted to avoid the crowds at the more popular beaches so we picked this one. It was perfect. During the day at peak season there are lifeguards, and they have washrooms, showers, and changing rooms. At low tide you can walk pretty far out. We didn't see any jellyfish, but I would still be careful if you go. Make sure you bring your own snacks and stuff, there isn't a canteen or anything nearby. It's definitely good for relaxing purposes.

Nice beach with a lifeguard and great views of the Confederation Bridge. In mid July we swam here when there were too many jellies on the north coast. It was also nice for poking around at low tide.

Stunning Provincial Park. The washrooms are so clean and the grounds free of any litter. There is a pride of workmanship here in this park.

I grew up going to this beach and still love it. The tide goes out really far providing lots of sandbars on which to walk and beachcomb but you can also walk a long way on the shore as well. There are showers and lots of lawn areas for picnics and activities. As can happen with a dynamic beach, the sand has shifted in recent years so that the centre of the swimming area is more rocky than it once was. If you want to avoid stepping over them just walk a little way down the beach to where there is still more sand covering the stones.

Quiet beach with great views of the Confederation Bridge. No jellyfish in site in August. Nice walks at low tide and high tide.

This beach is not well-known, so it's not very busy. The is host to crabs, and snails, so the kids and grownups had fun watching the wildlife. There are also different birds (sandpiper?) that pop around in the sand.
We would recommend this park, but be careful not to step on the wee little crabs!
Go to this beach before 12pm for low tide conditions. It's also free!

We spent several days at this beach. Free, not crowded, and good forge kids. Really fun when the tide goes out. There was no odour unlike other free beaches. Lots of hermit crabs and snails to keep the kids busy. Would recommend it to others.
