Oh my gosh... can this place be any more enchanting?! The short Atalaia trail (1,5 km) is definitely worth it, and can be done by almost everyone, young and old. The pools are gorgeous, you will have clear views of almost everything, young sharks, fishes galore, little crabs, trully wonderful. You only get 30 minutes since it's very protected, but... More

We did the longest Atalaia tracking which consist of 3 natural pools. To be honest, we were told that the pools are amazing and you get to see a lot of stuff, however we couldn't see that much. The tracking itself, though, is completely worth it.

Awesome. I have nothing else to say. LIke everything else on this beautiful island. Make sure you pick a decent hour of the day because the walk can be tiring under the sun. Also don't go on your own, this visit can only be arranged in groups.I think it's best if you bring your own equipment, but most offer masks... More

So many people have destroyed these pools that they were closed for a few months when we went in May. They might be open now but I highly recommend calling or emailing ahead to figure that out. Most people try and book it as soon as they get to the island, so figuring out if its even open will save... More

There's no real looser of a beach on Fernando. Just vast expanses with very few people on them. Totally safe. Can leave all you backpacks/money, etc on the beach an go for hour + swimming or walk and it is right there. We loved this place

My wife and I never got to see the beach although we hear it is incredible. Make sure you book this in town as soon as you arrive in Fernando. There is usually a three day waitlist.

A must to try and experience now before it is to late. Although it is a protected area there is a running risk that if pollution in general continues the beach will have to close down. Loved the experience although the weather during our visit was not the best.

Amazing natural pools with some good diverse aquatic life. Be sure to reserve as soon as you get to the Island as spots are limited and fill up very quickly.

We made the short trail...
