Lovely way to spend a day for animal enthusiasts. Very lovely and interesting birds. The staff were approachable, friendly and most importantly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Very good at sharing their passion for the birds and the project.

Read reviews that made us question whether we wanted to visit the Kiwi House. In the end, we really wanted to see a "live" Kiwi so we made sure we visited. Glad we did! They have a nice setup for the birds from what we...More

A great chance to get up and close with birds and to experience their feeding. Staff were friendly and well informed. They were happy for us to leave and grab some lunch then return in time for the kiwi feeding.

This is a place that's not over-crowded, you can see the kiwi (especially at feeding time) and many other NZ birds. The staff really care and know all their animals very well. Take the time to see the Campbell Island Teal. We first saw this...More

I can't believe how aggressive kiwis are! This is a must-see! The kiwi house is a purpose built house for the kiwis, made to replicate natural moonlightbfor them. The super-friendly kiwi house team feed them three times a day, and the spotted kiwi goes mad...More
