Nice 2 mile hike to see some incredible views. Go the the right at the fork in the loop. Go down the crevice at the top and see some amazing drop-offs!

The hike is 2 miles in total and the views are incredible. You are climbing a 400 million year old rock. Easy to medium climb.

Whiteside Mountain is an awesome sight. The sheer rock cliff goes straight down from the top. It is definitely one of the most beautiful, prominent sights in the Highlands area.

White side Mt. is a great hike. Not too long and a great set up. Take the staircase path up and the winding trail on the way down.

This is a moderately difficult hike. Give yourself at least an hour. It is definitely worth the effort.

Make sure you go up one side that is mostly gravel....and then go down the more rustic side...it has tree roots and a few places that are a bit hard, but it's prob moderate to easy. Best Views on Trip!

Easy early morning hike. Get there early just because parking lot does get crowded. Try to remember to bring a pen and a couple of dollars for the fee. Beautiful views from the top

The best spots near Whiteside are both approximately 3-4 miles west of Highlands off Highway 64 west, to wit: Cliffside Recreation Area and Van Hook Glade. Both have nice campsites with views of Cliffside Lake.
