If you are in Montagu on a Tuesday morning I recommend a visit to the Nature Garden. There are well laid out paths and everywhere is well maintained. We walked up the koppjie and then came down and enjoyed a cup of tea and our choice of 3 items from the cake table. There was a good selection of cakes... More

There is a river and lots of exploring to do. I liked the fact that the bridge was safe and suitable for all ages. You can go do some climbing and enjoy the view. Just be carefull of the ants at the gate, but if you love nature it should not be an issue.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the Nature gardens with our 2 young boys. Lots of lovely little paths to explore and beautiful views. Very neat and enjoyable.

Not a big place and not showy. It was very peaceful and lots of birds - like kingfishers. Not a very big place and probably it's worth an hour. Lots of places to sit with good views. We didn't see any other visitors in our time in the garden.

I think we chose the wrong time to visit the nature garden as it is very dry due to a drought, and maybe November is a bit to far into summer. But we enjoyed it to walk along the little stream where is is much greener due to the water which they irrigate on the areas around it. We also... More

This is a little oasis in the middle of Montagu. When we were there they had an amazing exhibit of bonsai created by local South African gardeners. There's even a delightful little gift shop.

It was a lovely outing. The community care for the indigenous garden and create a lovely meeting place for freinds over tea. Served for a few months of the year. We found the gardens scenic and enjoyed the flowers. The tea was reasonably priced and homemade eats served

Wife and Iwalked up the trial to the top of Bessies Kop and nack in qbout 90 minutes. Although hot, it was worth it. Bring own water - no kiosk. Beautiful scenerary of surrounding mountains and varied flora. Really worth the outing.

A wonderful place to have a picnic and/ or just relax with a nice book. Plenty of birds especially near the reeds. My wife and I could watch them for hours. Well worth a visit.

An opportunity to meet the happily retired locals. Tea and a choice of up to 3 cakes for a bargain of R 20,00 . Easy walks in the indigenous garden.
