The beach itself is beautiful, quite clean and nice. But it isn't peaceful. There can be crowds - school classes and other very big groups that come by several big busses. And even if there are no crowds, the locals are very interested in western tourists and are very keen to come and say hello. They want to take photos... More

Generally a much nicer beach than Vung Tau. During the week Long Hai is very quiet and almost deserted, with little going on, everything changes on Saturday when the whole place comes alive. On Sunday from early morning Vietnamese started arriving by the coach load, the whole place was buzzing with families, and lots of karaoke going on. Great place... More

I drove here with my boyfriend last a while back since we wanted a weekend away from HCMC but not go to the hustle and bustle of Vung Tau. We bumped into Long Hai beach after a few locals directed us to the beach front. There were a lot of available guesthouses and at $10-15 a night. Seafood by the... More

Fairly long stretch of beach, which is cleaner and less crowded than Vung Tau beach. A good number of seafood eateries. A lot of pagodas in the vicinity.

We visited over a bank holiday wkd which could explain how mentally busy it was. The beach is ok, not great. There were thousands (& I do mean thousands) of locals here on Sunday, all having a great time but with that comes the noise and smell of food! Good points - it's a unique experience. As a westerner you... More

It's a very clean beach with warm waters. There aren't many people in the area we stayed at. It can get windy and the waves are strong. Overall its a peaceful beach but compared to Nha Trang the waters aren't as pretty.

This is a nice beach, nothing spectacular. Be careful; the sand levels drop suddenly and there are strong currents near the rocks. Stay between the flags and all will be safe.
