The square trees are located in the NE corner of El Valle on the property of Hotel Campestre. You pay a small fee in the office and the distance to the square trees is about 440 yards or 400 meters. The trail is flat and...More

Ok, the trees are not the most exciting thing you will ever see but the little trail to get there is quite pleasant. It's not worth going out of your way, but it is certainly worth stopping in for a visit if you are in...More

It is a joke, right? Some of the younger trees in the area are, in fact square. But I suspect that as they age they develop the same truck structure as the large tree in the center of the area. The sender/trail is nice.

The square trees are nice, but not something worth coming just for it. We liked the hike as a hike. We saw birds and butterflys

Drive by and see the square trees - look well because you may miss them. It is an interesting site, but not one that is clearly identified.

After reading so many negative reviews, I had marked this off my list, but I'm glad that I didn't. It was a beautiful walk from town through a quiet neighborhood to get to the hotel. I only paid 2$, but I was told that it...More

Really, why pay $3 to see 3 small trees with square-ish trunks? It's a long, not particularly pretty, walk. Unless, you have a particular interest in rare trees I do not see the point. You can walk all over El Valle de Anton--for free!--and see...More

This is incredible. I have been searching for these trees for a few years now, and was unable to find them as the local directions are somewhat sketchy. When I was driving up the road, there was a couple on a quad parked off to...More
