A very peaceful place and the stonework of the old building is magnificent. Plenty of information on each area ( too much at times). The central garden area of the cloisters is lovely. A peaceful and picturesque place. Will visit again.

The cloisters are small and peaceful and are blessed with some wonderful stone carving and statuary. But Cadouin is quite out of the way. The adjoining church is very plain and uninteresting and, although a pleasant village, there is nothing apart from the cloitre which...More

The Cloister is very pretty but it won't take long so don't plan a day trip to this place! There are a few cafes and a small market on Thursdays.

Awesome church with a Abbey attached, great to just have a look around, and don't forget to take the panorama trek, up the hill, to look down on the Abbey and Church from above.

If you are in the area and enjoy looking at a cloister, go for a visit. If you've seen a number of them before, this one is not going to provide you with anything you have not already seen. No English on audio guide.

The abbey, no longer a working abbey, was a serene space in an architecturally beautiful building that goes back 1115 with additions in the late 15th century. We chose the combined ticket with Chateau Biron for 11.60 euros which was good value. We hired the...More

Had good lunch in this small town, near the abbaye. Guided visit was good value and was enjoyed by all.

Cadouin maybe a little off the beaten track, but then, so are many places in the Périgord and this is one that's really worth the effort. Attached to a substantial abbey church, the cloisters have a €6.50 entrance fee but considering the fact that one...More
