    Some great history to see
Great visit however i felt it was a little pricey, 12EUROS per person for visiting, and your not there long so not sure its value for money, in having said there where else would you see this history? So i guess they can charge what they like, and im sure the funds go towards the restoration and up keep. Make sure you have your camera ready if you do visit theres some great views up at the top and some great history too.

    Shame about the scaffolding
We visited this on same day as Olympic stadium as they adjoin each other. Not many signposts to indicate its whereabouts. Unfortunately it was clad in scaffolding as some sort of restoration underway. Like the stadium there were no information boards giving information about its history. The site is above the stadium and involved some walking on rough steep ground to reach it from the stadium. I would recommend choosing a cool day as it’s quite a walk.

    So worth a visit!!
We loved this. It was out of season and we were one of a few there. It was very quiet. Lovely little room containing the history, a toilet too. Fascinating history and well worth a visit. Lots and lots of cats, we met a lady there and she looks after all the cats twice a day every day. So heartwarming and they all look so well cared for. She takes them to the vets if they need it and they are all flead and wormed. Such a lovely thing ❤️

    Beautiful, Historical, and Mostly Accessible
Absolutely stunning. It would have been better if we could have gone closer to the Temple of Apollo, but it is undergoing some repairs. That said, the space is a beautiful area with plenty to see, between the Temple of Apollo, Temple of Artemis ruins, stadium, gymnasium ruins, and amphitheater. The temples are visible for travelers with physical limitations only from the top, with a pathway through woods or down stairs to get to the rest. The stadium, assorted ruins, and amphitheater require a walking distance but it is largely flat and accessible with walking aides or wheelchairs. It is largely open space though, so wear sunscreen!

    Worth the visit . . .
The Acropolis of Rhodes must have been spectacular in it's heyday . . . and it's not too shabby now. I do smile when I read people complaining about the visible scaffolding whilst renovation / preservation work is being carried out - what exactly do they expect to happen? The grounds are lovely (if not that easy to get into) and it have one of the few places on the island with a free toilet AND a reasonably priced cafe.

    Ok
A bit disappointed tbh! 3 pillars with scaffolding. The driver who dropped us “ if it’s not good I can take you to old town”. I got down , took couple of pics and went to old town for an extra five euros. The Acropolis of Lindos is a lot better . So you have a choice of few Acropolis to look around.

The Acropolis of Rhodes. Few ancient elements, but impressive.
Few ancient elements, but impressive. The temple dedicated to Apollo was under renovation, but the amphitheater and stadium were spectacular. I imagine an ancient theater play with a grand setting, or an athletics race with the participants in Adam's costume! Too bad about the RODA public transport in Rhodes, few rides, hard to decipher the bus route and the number, complicated with the purchase of tickets.

    Worth visiting.
Lots of building work going on in this area ,and it appears that it may soon become a pay to visit area ,which is fair. fantastic views over the old town when you arrive there. Quite a few ancient relics to see, nice walks, but nothing on a grand scale unfortunately easy parking, also easy walk from Rhodes old town. very expensive Cafe. worth a visit if your able but i would not purposely go out of your way unless you love the history, as to be fair it's not that spectacular, but nice to see.

    Not to miss
I would 100% anyone close to Rhodes to head here. It is completely free to enter and (despite what Google seems to think) is open very early in the morning. I chose to walk from Ixia and made sure to take water and start at 7am - by 9 it would be too hot to contemplate. The Acropolis itself is incredible, especially the ancient stadium. There are great plaques which give great information. I would also recommend the cafe opposite which has great coffee and clean toilets.

Complete ruins, not much left. You can see that they have made provisions for paid entry in future, but it is still free to enter now. Extremely underkept and needs a lot of attention, however, still nice place to see if you're in Rhodes capital.

The site is a piece of city history.
And even if visually it does not offer the best because of the wear and tear of time , what you see is still bewitching and suggestive .
The columns left are fantastic.
Better to visit it in cool times.

We were on the Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour and our first Hop Off was to see the beautifully constructed Acropolis of Rhodes. Covering a very large are the Acropolis itself stands very proud at the Highest Point with terrific views across the Town and Aegean Sea. Well worth a Visit and an absolute must if you love your Greek History.

A relatively short walk from the centre of Old Rhodes town. Surprisingly free entry,in mid September. The main surviving pillars are encased in scaffolding (2022) but the remaining building open. Go through some of the individual stones some carry original engravings.

.... you will find the rest of these temple. Only a few columns are left but you can imagine how huge the building was in the old days. Unbelievable how they managed to build something like that. Take your time to imagine the beauty of this place a long time ago.

Short walk from the hop on hop off bus nearest stop. It is mostly ruins but with a lot of re-construction work on the arena part. It was great to be able to walk around the actual site. I used the GPSmyCity app to use as a walkign guide. Even in the peak summer there isn't a lot of foot traffic.
