    Lots of Walking!
It was very hot that day we went to see the stadium. Took a bus which dropped us off for about an hour. I believe there's a city bus every hour that stops just outside the fenced area. Go on a day when its cooler outside, you will enjoy it much better! Other than the hot day, it was interesting to walk around the stadium and imagine what it was like back in the day. I would recommend seeing this.

    Sporting history…a must see.
We accidentally found the Ancient Stadium and were so glad we did. This place is so full of history and whilst it’s presentation is simple the stories those seats could tell! Just climbing up the stairwells and thinking about the atmosphere and those who had sat there hundreds of years earlier…just mind blowing. Being good tourists we did the audio tour and enjoyed it. We ran (okay, he ran and I look photos) around the track and stood on the winners podium, sat in the Royal seats and generally just loved it. The chant, Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, oi, oi! May not have been in the traditional history but we added it to current day!

    Great Attraction
The Ancient Stadium is a stones throw away from the Rodian Acropolis and so we took a stroll to have a look. Wow what a beautifully constructed stadium it is and so very well preserved. If you take a seat in the Auditorium you can easily cast you imagination back to the days when competitions took place in this wonderful Arena. Certainly well worth a visit if for nothing else, the peace and tranquility plus of course those thoughts from you imagination.

Massively well preserved and impressive. It is a little bit far from the City Center but it is a good visit and totally free ! This is the most preserved jewell from ancient times so if yiu are in Rhodes, dont go without a tour here

    Nice but could be better
We walked up from Rhodes town on a very hot day. It’s not particularly well signposted and we used Google maps to find it. We enjoyed looking at the stadium and imagining what it would have been like back in the day but there didn’t appear to be any information boards to tell of its history and restoration which was disappointing and although there was a kiosk it wasn’t open which was unfortunate as I think they would have made quite a lot of money as visitors, of which there were quite a few would have appreciated a cold drink.

Not worth the trek from the town, I love historic sites as much as the next person, but the acropolis is a dump. The amphitheater and Olympic track was ok, but you can do it all in about 20 minutes. Unless you really really really want to go to say you’ve been, don’t bother.

Found this 10 years ago on a run and did a few laps of it,
Came back to Rhodes this year and decided to run up there again, They seemed to fenced it off and there are gates with kiosks, assume they will be charging soon ? I'd say its about a couple of miles away from the harbour, I'd pick a cooler day if you want to walk up to it,

Free to enter (for now)
You can see the seating area and arena
There is no information boards so it’s just a wonder around

They have put a kiosk in to sell tickets but that looks to be some way off before opening

Perhaps would be worth paying a little to get some information boards etc

Worth visiting if in Rhodes town to see this and only a short walk away

There are two ways to look at the stadium, it has been rebuilt so that way you can see how it would of looked, or they should of left it as it was. I like the first as you could sit for a short while and let your imagination run wild. Trying to picture it.

Very unique and historic place to visit. Free access to public with no limitations. Easy parking, but if travelling up the hill to the Acropolis the access is very poor for prams and wheelchairs.

Takes about 10 minutes to walk there from the town centre although we found it easier to follow a map rather than the actual signs. Free to enter. It’s quite interesting to explore although it would’ve been nice to have had more information available on site. Worth noting that there aren’t any facilities in terms of toilets or café on site, but there are some nearby.
