About
Honeysuckle Farm is a family owned and operated open farm in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We are an open farm. Not a farm park so if you visit us expect to see a real working farm with a commercial herd of cows and a flock of commercial sheep. We also have goats, fish ponds, play areas, horses, a café and many picnic areas. We have been open for public visits since 1992 and we offer a unique and quirky experience of what it is like to run a farm with all its fun, challenges and tribulations in the present economic climate. If you want anthropomorphised animals try a theme park. If you want the real deal then visit Honeysuckle Farm to feed animals, play, explore and chat to the farmers. We keep prices very reasonable - compare us to other attractions - and believe that we offer good value for money - feel free to bring a picnic and you can stay on the farm from opening at 10am to closing at 5pm if you like. Give us a try. we look forward to seeing you.

A great family friendly day out
An absolutely fantastic day out with lots to do. Feeding the animals and the fish is great fun and den building in the woods keeps the kids occupied for hours. The cafe has a lovely selection of food including homemade treats with plenty of seating and lots of outdoor benches for a rest or a picnic if the weather is good.

Friendly staff and lots to do. Well worth a visit.
Well worth a visit. My wife and I visited with our 8 year old granddaughter. Staff extremely friendly with lots to do including a variety of slides, tunnels and climbing apparatus for children. There were a selection of horses, sheep, goats, pigs, geese and even a fish pond. At the end of the trip is a lovely warm cafe selling a selection of drinks, fresh sandwiches and cakes. There are so many things to see and do with no shortage of seating for tired parents/grandparents. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly making this the ideal place to visit with children of all ages and it represents excellent value for money. Just remember to bring wellies and waterproof coats if there is a chance of rain. (Having said that, we visited on a day when it had been raining earlier and it wasn’t too bad). The perfect family day out.

Great farm but sadly carers don't go free
I work as a carer for children with disabilities and would love to be able to bring the different children I care for to experience this wonderful farm, but unfortunately carers do not get free admission which means every time I brought an individual child to visit I would also have to pay from my wages my admission. I believe the children would greatly enjoy this experience. Most places such as cinemas, museums etc charge the child whose money is funded but the carer is admitted free. I think it is sad that this lovely farm charges carer's who work very hard to try and enlighten the children's lifes whilst themselves only earning minimum pay.

    Family Outing
We visited whilst staying in Hornsea, and we were extremely impressed with the value of our visit. Loads of adventure playground activities for children of all ages. Plemty if picnic areas. Great cafe serving homemade cakes and other food. We went thinking it would kill an hour we were there for a lot longer wishing we'd packed a picnic to stay longer. Animal food & fish food well worth investing in. So mush fun feeding goats, sheep, donkey, fish and ducks/ducklings. There is so much to keep the kids active & engaged. Friendly staff. Brilliant day out. Highly recommend & we will return!

    Great day for the littlies
Fantastic farm, with plenty of animals to interact with. Priced well, and food for the animals available to buy. Numerous playgrounds along the way. Plenty of parking. Cafe good for a brew and fresh made butties.

Average at very best, seems quite overrated. Very minimal animals, fish pond is very dirty and unable to see fish. More of a giant playground. Its not much to look at, on a whole a bit miserable.

2 adults and a child with some animal food was ÂŁ19 and can spend 2 or 3 hours, offers cart ride which is extra. Lots of other nicer places that can entertain small children which are cheaper or around the same price with more things and less run down, Pink Pig Farm for one. Or East Hull Community Farm with a trip to a park would be the same and completely free.

We usually absolutely love this place and visit at least 3 times a season. I appreciate that they have been hard hit by Covid and are probably trying to make as much money as they can but I really believe they are being totally irresponsible. There is no option to pre book or stagger people coming in to the farm, no maximum capacity and no one monitoring numbers. We ended up leaving after about 40 minutes. Very few customers wore masks, so many people invaded our personal space and as another reviewer pointed out buying animal and fish food was pointless as the animals weren’t hungry. The car park wasn’t great either, lots of angry people trying to get parked up or leave with no one directing them. Like I said we normally absolutely love this place and have had many happy days out here but we won’t be visiting again until Covid is long gone. I truly believe the management are being utterly irresponsible. Crowded, long queues for the cafe/icecream (we didn’t bother), toilets unclean, no staff seen walking around monitoring things, also a lot of litter floating around the ponds. A really disappointing visit.

Visited here and was very surprised there was no need to book. Waited 30 mins to get in, must have been 100 in the queue. I really think numbers should have been limited. There were no separate entrance and exit points which was a concern, people in very close contact. Also there were signs advising people to wear masks in the barns but no one did. No cart rides which is understandable as social distancing would have been impossible.
Regarding buying animal food, with the number of people there none of the animals were hungry so I would suggest not wasting your money on it. Wish I hadn’t!
However it was lovely to be out and about, only hope they can open everything up as things improve with Covid.

We had a great day out here, there was lots for our child to do.
I've read a few reviews which has said it was unsafe. The first area does seem to get very busy - with the hay bales, goats etc. However the place is fairly big, plenty of quiet spots for picnics.
There was a cafe as well, which was nice and had plenty of options.
There's plenty of slides etc for kids to play on.
We got some animal feed and fed some of the animals which was great. You can also get fish food for the fish.

Honeysuckle Farm has always been my son's favourite day out and he has really missed going as we would normally go 2 or 3 times a year.
Today's visit was as wonderful as always. The animals were a joy to see, the grounds are beautiful and there was plenty of hand washing and sanitizing facilities.
The play area, hidden inside the woodland, was great on a warm summer's day.

We had a wonderful visit to Honeysuckle Farm. It was a fantastic day out and enjoyed by all ages.

The animals are in tip top condition and seem very well cared for and look happy and healthy. We enjoyed feeding them with the special feeding pellets we purchased on arrival.
The farm is very clean and the grounds are well maintained. There are lots of hand washing facilities and the toilets are nice and clean too. There’s a cafe on site too which we didn’t visit as we had already eaten, but it looked lovely and smelled nice walking by.
I absolutely recommend this as a family day out and would visit again myself.

Brilliant!! You could be there all day. The price is very reasonable for a full day of activities. The animals are very well cared for. The hay bales to jump over, there are plenty of slides and climbing frames. Fantastic day, lots to do. Brilliant

To be honest, I was not expecting much as I didn't think it looked very big from the pictures but this place is fantastic and a really affordable day out.

We had a 7 year old, 5 year old, 3 year old and almost 2 year old and they all had a great time. It has the animals but also lots of things to run and climb on as well as a maze. It has a little shop where you can buy food and ice cream. They do horse and cart rides when COVID isn't happening which sound fun too.

We had a really great time and the kids wanted to stay longer and go back the next day. I would highly recommend.
