I grew up in the area and Joss Bay has always been a favourite local beach. Great for taking a picnic and just relaxing

No concessions open we could find. Perfect for strolling and soaking up the atmosphere though. Peaceful, tranquil and full of marine life. Found a rock pool full of crabs, anemones and others.

We wanted to go to Broadstairs but parking is impossible after 10am so went slightly further down the coast to Joss Bay. The good thing about this beach is that it's big and great sand. Even when the tides in you've still got a lot of beach. There's a small but expensive shop that sells tea and ice cream etc.... More

Our favourite beach in Kent by far. As a previous posted has said, Joss Bay faces the channel so it can be a bit windy unless baking hot, so be prepared for that. Sand is lovely and always found sea to be clean enough to swim in. Have to laugh at a previous reviewer who said UK beaches aren't as... More

It has toilet and washing facilities, car parking both pay and display and on street free parking. Golden sand and clean sea. Excellent walking conditions. It doesn't get... More

Breathtaking view onto the North Sea and the white cliffs. As we passed it in a winter's, windy day we didn't stop, but the view is worth a visit any day.
