Lovely place for a walk

The sand is hard work to walk on and the access can be a bit challenging but it's lovely to just enjoy the walk

A splendid walk along the sea can be really breezy but the views are certainly worth it. If you like really long views of sea, beach and cliffs, this is for you.

As good as anywhere in the med on a sunny day. Very safe beach, always sandy and when the tide comes in a great place to swim. Bring your shrimping nets!!

If you love sandy beaches, dazzling white cliffs, peregrine falcons and chuckling fulmars, then I recommend a visit at low tide

Lovely beach to stroll along with chalk cliffs and flint to be found everywhere. Quiet in autumn which was well appreciated.

This is a quieter bay than Viking Bay but just a step around the cliff from that beach. It has a slightly more rugged appearance and is good for a spot of beach-combing. You can see the wind farms but they are not too obtrusive - I actually like them! Plenty of birdwatching to be done, too. You can walk... More

Stone Bay is a short walk from the village centre and the pier and though it is less picturesque than Viking Bay and not as beautiful as the wildest Kingsgate and Botany it is a good compromise to see almost pristine white cliffs and rock pools
