The Antrim Castle Gardens site is an absolute gem and you will find nothing like these 400 year old gardens anywhere else. A recent £6m restoration project which received generous support from Heritage Lottery Fund has now preserved this historic site for generations to come. The Gardens are a unique living museum, with layer upon layer of design features and planting added over the centuries. Indeed, rarely is so much history preserved on one site. The many exceptional features include the ancient Motte, the Large Parterre, the Yew Tree Pond and the Pleasure Gardens.

Grew up in this park! But it's fantastic after the (recentish) renovations. Never thought in my day you would have trouble parking!

We were on the Gardens of Antrim trail, and started here. Lovely park land and wooded areas. Enjoyed the walk along the river. Lovely borders in flower, nice to see that exotics can be grown, with a little attention to how they are placed. Plenty...More

A beautiful venue however was disappointed that we could not get a sandwich we're told that they had stopped making sandwiches as it was 3 o'clock even though the sandwich fillings were still in sight

Stunning scenery, Usually peaceful surroundings and a sense of mystery about the place what with the ghost stories. However can't be denied that a ot of local young people do use the place as a drinking ground at weekend evenings;

You don't often see new gardens created on the scale - very well done but they need to do something about the duckweed on the ponds. The cafe was OK but not the most helpful staff - milk seemed to be rationed! - in total...More

There is only a ruin of the Castle which burned down at the start of the 20th century. You mainly see and enjoy the gardens.
