About
Named for the solitary majestic old growth pine of their Oliver estate, Le Vieux Pin sits perched amidst the famed vineyards of the Black Sage Bench: Canada's sole pocket desert, located in the South of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Since releasing their first vintage in 2005, Le Vieux Pin has captured the essence of traditional French winemaking, along with the bold New World character distinct to the region. Considered by the national wine industry to be a leading Syrah producer, the winery uses low input viticulture and non-interventionist winemaking to make exclusive vintages that carry with them a sense of time and place. These fine wines can be savoured nationwide and internationally, at select culinary hot spots, and fine wine merchants. The pine tree stands alone. Come visit us, our Tasting Room is open By Appointment Friday - Sunday May - Jun 30: 11am-5pm. July 1 - Aug 31: 10am-5:30pm. Sept 1 -Oct 31: 11am- 5pm. Our Wine Shop is open 7 days a week April to October.

    Immerse yourself in the backroad of the south OK
    Outdoor seating for tasting in wonderful weather and great view. Tasting flight introduced us to the label not experienced before. Our hosts were most friendly and knowledgable. Impressed sufficiently to walk out with 4 bottles for my cellar

    Great Hospitality
    We had a quick visit to the Winery in late July and weren't able to go until the end of the day. The staff was all very inviting still and fit us in without an appointment (but an appointment is still highly recommended). We tasted through quite a few of their wines and had the tough decision on what we should buy to bring back with us to Colorado. I can't wait until next time we're in the Okanagan and would love to set up a full tour to see this amazing gem of a winery!

    Best Syrah in the OK valley
    We have been members of Le View Pin winery for 4 years now. I love coming to visit and tasting everything they have available. They produce some of the best Syrah in the Okanagan valley. We always go home with more wine than we planned on.

    Great Wine!!!!
    Made an appointment for first thing in the morning. Alan was our host, and what a great job he did describing the wine, explaining the winery and regaling us with great stories....he made our tasing memorable. As did the wine....I mean, REALLY good wine. We will be back...again and again, might even join the wine club.

Amazing wines! Love the stand alone tastings (only 1 group per booking block) which makes for a very unrushed session and allows for a much more in depth experience.

My Dad and I visited this lovely vineyard in August 2023 and despite the wine being extremely good and everyone working there being moderately pleasant (as pleasant as anyone French person can be), there was one lady there (can't remember her name) who was quite unpleasant and suprisingly rude right from the get go. I think she said something like "are there any wine's in particular that you're looking for" to which I replied "Actually yes, a friend of mine said that you guy's make excellent Chardonnays" to which she replied "well then you're friend is someone who is clearly not familiar with our wines, we only have one really good Chardonnay". I know what you're thinking..."who running a business would respond to a compliment from a potential customer in that manner?"...and you woud be correct. I would like to chaulk it up to it being run of the mill French snobbery but I think this goes beyond that. This woman is not someone who should be working in a customer facing service industry. That said the other two people working there, a man and a women, were moderately pleasant/not rude so my sentiment towards them is neutral but interacting with the other woman was painful at best. Because I love the wine I will be back but I'll be sure to keep my interactions to an absolutle minimum whilst there and continue writing honest reviews every time I visit.

The best wines and team. Really nice facility and great people. Always relaxing time here. The wines are very much to my taste. I am a member of the wine society and they organized a small lunch for myself and friends. Just an amazing experience. Very thoughtful staff who are low key, friendly and knowledgeable.
Great wines and facilities! AA+++

This stop is a gem. We are club members here and always bring new people when we have the chance.
Great wines, engaging and knowledgeable staff. Not a big winery experience. Much more intimate. Love the vibe.

Love this winery, every time we go there it's a great experience. This last time was no different. A friend and I showed up around noon one afternoon late March (when most wineries are typically closed) with no reservation. It wasn't busy but the fellow behind the counter was more than happy to serve us a tasting. Their shiraz is always fantastic and didn't disappoint once again.

There are few wineries in the Okanagan that will offer a more informative tasting experience to accompany the exceptional wines on offer. If you only have time to visit a couple of wineries during a visit to the Osoyoos area, you could not make a better choice than to book ahead and visit Le Vieux Pin and its sister winery, La Stella. We have sampled a number of Okanagan wine clubs; Le Vieux Pin / La Stella was the first club we joined, and it's the only club we have remained members of since day one. That's down to the fantastic wines and the friendly, personal service we have always received from the staff.
