Hi Sarah, I’m sorry to hear you had a negative experience at our farm, and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. Due to increased demand, we have implemented a reservation system to ensure visitors can enjoy a comprehensive Covert Farms experience and we are properly staffed to most effectively and professionally manage our visitor capacity. While pre-booked experiences are given priority, we do our best to accommodate walk-in visitors wherever possible, though it sounds like we were at capacity with reservations when you had arrived. We were short a few staff members this past weekend, therefore we were not able to take in many walk in guests without reservations. Earlier this year, we introduced a general farm admission ($5 for children/teenagers, ages 5-18, and $10 for adults), which provides guests with access to our weekly live music performances, new visitor experiences such as the self-guided farm tour, and farm games including the slip and slide and the jumping pillow. The admission fee itself goes directly to cover the cost of staffing required to serve our onsite guests and monitor visitor safety while our guests interact with the farm animals and play with the games. The costs of tours and tastings automatically includes this fee. We have posted this information on our website and on the signage on our property. Sincerely, Shelly Covert
