Sossego waterfall is one of the most beautiful places there. However, if you are not experienced in trail, be prepared to face some dangerous paths. I am afraid of highs but I was able to complete the course. On some parts, I had to seat because I am not used to jumping from rocks to rocks. But since you are... More

Such an Incredible Walk, 3 hours worth of adventure. It can be done without the guide, we got lucky with others walking that wa. As 2.5 hours we lost the signs, it simply crossed the river, the tip is keep following the river up stream, stay close to the river and enjoy the adventure.

Great 6 hour walk, partly through the bedding of the river. You need an experienced guide to take you there. We had a native Dutch speaking guide, living in Lencois, Jochen Geerts. You can find him on Facebook. Absolutely recommended!

We went to Sossego waterfall on our second day in lençois. I must confess that our guide sold the place really high, saying that it was the most beautiful waterfall in the world, which probably collaborated to my disappointment. After 1.5 hours of canoeing and another hour walking we've finally arrived at the sossego waterfall. It was so hot during... More

Spent the day hiking to and from Sossego Waterfall with my two daughters. Our guide was incredible- how did he know where to go? There seems to be no clear path and yet he confidently took us climbing over rocks and up hills - an exhilarating and exhausting trek.

You have to be very carefull at the trail because of a lot of slippery stones and holes but it is totally worth! Very romantical, very natural and an amazing view on the waterfall! You can swim, climb and go under the waterfall. The trail is also really nice. However, you have to be very carefull and you should practice... More

We went with a tour group that brought us to several different places but this was one of my favorite. Be sure to be able to hike a moderate trail with rocks and slippery stones. The reward is worth it with a perfect waterfall and a calm pool of water below to swim in.

The trail to Sossego Waterfall is very much worth it, however, it is poorly marked, so just be sure that you hire a guide. We joined a tour organized by Zen Tours with Pedro as our guide and we could not be more satisfied about our choice. Pedro was watching out for us, showing us the best way to go... More

Even during the dry season the waterfall was full. 6 hours ( round trip) hiking, medium difficult. We booked a tour guide to take us there - and It was worthy. Along the trail you can find other attractions like: ribeirão de cima, ribeirão do meio and ribeirão de baixo.
