Kiriti Mandir is a temple built in memory of Gandhiji. Next to the mandir is the ancestral home of Gandhiji and about a kilometer away is Kasturba's ancestral home. This is the place where mahatma Gandhi born on 2nd October. Its now converted in museum where old photographs and other memorial things are exhibited.

Mahatma Gandhi had asked that no temple should be made at his place of birth, no statues should be erected. However, we got around that by placing life size photographs of Ba and Gandhi and calling it Kirti Mandir! This is right next to the old house where Mahatma Gandhi was born.
