The Elephant’s Head Point got its name due to the cliffs which overhang resemble an elephant’s head and trunk. This is one of the best and extreme end of the mountain range in Mahabaleshwar.

The namesake of this point is that you see a rock formation in the shape of an elephant' head. Thus the name. Its in the same area as in Kate's point.

Elephants head is a fantastic location in the Mahabaleshwar hills affording great views of the river valley and adjoining hills. In the shape of an elephants head, this is a must visit spot. During the monsoon rains, the scenery is fantastic and best time to visit. Only downside being that the points could be cut off/ closed for few days... More

Chill over 365 days, frequent showers to enjoy along with the trees of lush green surroundings, eye breaking longest views of hills horizontally and if you see down god's natural graphic like steep deep valleys, what not? One need to experience on his/her own and language have no such superlative words to explain my joy. We have visited along with... More

Best view point in the area. Avoid foggy days as entrance could be closed due to weather and have your rain coat in the rain season. Many other view points with a visit and to enjoy the natural parks, gardens, lakes and horse riding. Plenty of resorts from simple to high end. Recommended. Specially if you are in nearbys
