We did not have time for the hike to the lake but wanted to see the valley and appreciate the landscape. So we drove the 15km to the upper parking and walked around and stopped in with some of the locals who have set up...More

First, you should know that the parking is limited and you need to be at the parking area no later than 9 am and the fee is 6 euros to park. The hike to the two (2) lakes is challenging; lots of boulders, walking through...More

This is a tough hike alright. We drove all the way from Aleria until the Restonica parking. The drive itself is quite adventurous with narrow one way roads with no barriers separating you and the plunging gorge below!! But that's the fun of it!! You...More

Firstly, the road is extremely narrow. Best to have a very experienced driver behind the wheel! The drive is scenic though! Secondly, the hike! Stunning, it really is. I have never seen such beautiful scenery. However, be prepared. We walked up the trail and were...More

Very rocky trail, need good footwear, and courage for the chains and ladders near the top. Very popular walk, so pleased we did it in October when not crowded. The drive up is beautiful too.

Important is to get on the trail very early. Dont waste time on the first lake and go directly do the higher one- swimming and sunbathing is absolutely perfect there. Trail is quite adventurous :)

Beautifull! We made a whole day round way excursion with 6 year old girl : Parking, Lago di Melo, Lago di Capitelu, Bocca di Soglia, Parking. In my opinion it is the best option, for sure better than going just up and down to Lago...More

Very nice trail. In August start early (before or around 8AM) to avoid the heat and the traffic. It took us 5 hours in total to go up and down to Lac Melo and Lac Capitellu.

Great place to get a taste of the high mountains of Corsica! The road from Corte is a shortcut into this mountain paradise. The valley, the river and the landscape is beautiful. You notice the Corsican maquis and the scent of it all along the...More

it was on the road, the road was totally inaccessible... but you can still enjoy a walk along the river if you stop at the bridge.
