Worth going there! We took a boat trip
On Marmara Sea which in itself was a cool experience. We then took the little cart to explore the island, was a bkt of a wait, long line. We climbed the steep hill up the monastery and were rewarded with gorgeous views. I would not recommend going around Easter, way too many people. Even Muslims make the pilgremage

If you want to relax from the rush of Istanbul Centre , Buyukada Island (1 of the Prince Islands ) is the Ideal place to go , only 1.5hrs far from Eminonu by boat . Buyukada is the largest Island from Prince Islands although is the most island from the others that is commercialized but it's very nice . During your stay at Buyukada you can take a ride on horses it's very typical and nice ride . There's a lot of shops that sells souvenirs of the Island and of istanbul too . Be careful from the Restaurants in the waterfront (exactly where the boats stops) because the prices is too expensive compared with the restaurants in the behind streets .

There is an amazing place, very close to the city, that requires special attention. I will not describe it in detail, because everyone who visits this city should see it at least once, with their own eyes ... and open the door to another world. Phaetons, national parks, cafes, seagulls... It takes abour 2 hours on the ferry to get to the island, and you have a chance to take beautiful pictures of the skyline of the city from the seaside.

Beautiful serene park with little noise other than nature. Get away from the dock where it is overcrowded and so expensive for anything, except the supermarket. Watch out for the idiots on push bikes

After arriving on boat from Eminonu by 1.5 hour ferry at 5 liras, we quickly checked the central area and then went for a walk. We opted for the left hand side that goes through the poorer area and then forest and returned through the other side to see beautiful houses and the continental area.

Buyukada island is the biggest island in princes islands in Istanbul, its and hour and half with fairy from Istanbul, the island is so beautiful with great buildings and amazing nature, there are no cars in this island only horses and carriages which makes it feel like ur in an old movie.
Also u can rent a bicycle and ride throughout the island.
It felt like heaven walking up and down the streets of this island.

Take the ferry from Instanbul for about 1.5h at a very cheap price and visit this island.
When you get there, take a bicycle if you are good with the effort (you have to climb some areas and it will be very difficult for beginners), or a motorcycle, or maybe a horse carriage trip.
The area near the port is very crowded and we recommend you to go a little further and find places to eat or to visit.
The island has a lot of nice places to visit, you can also find some rural places (some of them are looking very poor) but on the other side you can find the opposite.
Have fun!
