Great car trip over the Yorkshire Dales and ending up at the Ribblehead Viaduct. If you are lucky you may see the Carnforth to Carlisle steam train going over the viaduct.

We've been a few times but after watching the Netflix series Jericho, we wanted to see it again. Brought the dog who had a lovely run on the moors. Bring your coat and hat, it gets windy!

We walked beside and under the Ribblehead viaduct on our way up and down Whernside. It is a good walk and well worth a visit to see the engineering.

After watching the period drama Jericho, my wife and I decided to head on up to Ribblehead Viaduct as the series is based on the construction at Ribblehead in the 1870's. We have been here a few times. However a new respect for the men and women who built this beautiful bridge with pretty much there hands and primitive tools.... More

Took some great photos at sunset...cold with a breeze. Shame I did not actually have my main camera with me, just my phone. Snuck into a pub afterwards!

Great engineering, beautiful setting, the viaduct takes a great photo. So glad it was restored and preserved. Worth a visit.

A large group of us saw this sight from the Pen-y-ghent feature, on a lovely sunny and clear day. Several hours later we reached this location and had our packed lunches next to it. Impressed by the effort and engineering that went into its construction.

Well worth the decision to repair, Mr. Portillo. Thanks to all the FOSCLA supporters too. My grandad was a driver on the line.

If you have time to leave the A65 to Skipton from the M6, turn left at Ingleton towards Hawes and you will see this wonderful viaduct. Well worth a detour.

Really impressive structure with lots of history. Lots of boards around explaining the viaduct, as well as the remains of the work camp underneath. Worth not just looking at from afar, but also walking up close and viewing the remains in the area. If you follow the railway line further north, you can also see an aquaduct across the railway,...
