Definitely an interesting place to visit if you are in Somerset. Lots of history. Wookey Hole is also a lovely village.

Interesting place to hear and watch how they use to make the paper here. Including bank notes for the confederate army in USA civil war. Not a must see or do but if the guide is there it’s worth a listen.

Nice to see.how they made paper that could last 500+ years. The kids can have a go at making paper from pulp. You can see some of the machines and the different types of paper used. All original on the site.

The day we visited, this attraction was closed. It was Father's Day on one of the hottest days of the year. There was literally no one about. The place was deserted- no staff, no visitors.

Had a great time here. The guide was very informative and asked me if I wanted to make some paper, which I did. Lots of fun and really interesting.

This has the potential to be more interesting but was more like a passing corridor on the way to other activities, it took us a maximum of 5mins to see it all. Apparently there was one demonstration but we found out about this after the...More

Why charge for entry, include all the fun things to do, then not staff the attractions?? This was just an empty room when we walked through. We had gone on a very quiet day, hardly any visitors, almost had the place to ourselves, which was...More
