It is the first time I have been here and on this occasion it was for a charity run "Jingle Jog" we ran around the perimeter path in Santa suits to raise money for UHCW, the place is clean and tidy, plenty of parking which is well laid out and marked, the paths around the park area are wide and... Beautiful walk round the pools. Great place for families and their dogs. A little too busy for my liking in school holidays etc. But nice walks off the beaten track in the natural very old woodland. Great play area and a miniature train ride.

Love this place. The little ones play area has been upgraded and extended its much improved. So much to do, feed the ducks, lovely walks, a little pool with alligators peeping out. Then there's making dens out of tree branches, the best fun for kids and mums and dads too. Move on to the big playground, huge climbing frame, huge... More

The new pirate play area was really well planned and there is lots to do for the children. We love the older play area where there is a zip line and huge slide which gave the kids hours of entertainment. The only negative comment would be that we have been 4 times now and we have never been when the... More

Great park for the kids with superb equipment. Nice little walks and trails with a fun climbing and building area for the children only! Adults by invitation only! There is a shop that offers activities at a cost. Yesterday it was felt at £10. Don't know what this involved but sounded expensive. The cafe smelt of stale fat and £6... More

Took a group of children to discover the newly refurbished play area which is wonderful. However when I went into cafe to buy a coffee I asked for a cup of hot water to take a cold relief medication and was told there was a charge of 90p for hot water !!!! I have never been charged for hot water... More

Beautiful scenery, Unfortunately It's advertised as a mountain biking trail, me and my partner thought it would be perfect however it's very easy perfect for beginners all flat routes. Not advised for the advanced mountain biker. Also you have to pay 3£ parking before you enter the park so I would advise to take money before.

First visit to Ryton pools & impressed. Only a quick visit, so not time to see it all. Lovely play area / park for kids and another new play area being built near the cafe / shop. This looks great and has a range of equipment for younger children & told it should be finished for October half term. Free... More

Good location and well sign posted. You need to make sure you have the correct change as entry is a pay on entry barrier which only takes cash and not cards. There were several car parks to choose from. The paths are good and well sign posted with the circular walk around the lake going straight past the excellent childrens... More

Went on a day it was very busy so parking was difficult and the facilities stretched but even so it was a good day out. Plenty for children to do, walks, play areas, train, bike hire etc and wide paths to accommodate all that moves along them, bikes, prams wheelchairs. there are a number of benches for picnic particularly if...
