Nice, pleasant and easy walk on a good path with great sea views and plenty of flora and fauna. Great for building up an appetite before eating in one of Mallaigs great restaurants.

Short walk, great way to discover the view around Mallaig within 1-2 hours. Worth taking the time to do it.

Mallaig is a small town and you soon exhaust the restaurants and gift shops. Many train travellers like us take a boat trip but if you want to see the scenery more cheaply then this is an ideal way of spending an hour or two and absorbing the atmosphere of the place.

The walk is less than 3 kilometres and taken at a leisurely pace, with time to take in the views and local flora, takes about 90 minutes. The path is well maintained and signposted in most of the crucial junctions. The map shown on the website however, only gives a general outline of the route. There are several points where unmarked paths veer off, particularly towards the summit. If you take one of these you gain a much better view of the seascape and is worth the detour.

The OS map does not clearly show this circular path and as I mentioned, neither does the website. OpenStreetMap has the best representation if you have time for it to download. Perhaps someone could add it as a named route on that platform?

Don't be put off though, you cannot really get lost and it has some wonderful views.

A good walk, best from the town end as a bit of a scramble to get up the path, easier to go up than down. The path down is gentler and has good views from the top and coming down facing the open sea.

Lovely walk up and around the village and port, with spectacular views out to Skye, Eigg and Rhum - beautiful on a sunny day.

This walk was well signposted and the paths were on the whole very good. It is a relatively easy walk although one or two steepish parts. At the top there were great views of Mallaig,

A short nice walk and stunning views from the top but you are more likely to miss the start of the walk since it is hardly visible and sign postings could have been better. We managed to take a detour and although it was through residential houses, we enjoyed asking the locals and make it to the main road. If you hava a gorgeous weather as we did, Scottish summer can be awesome for staycation.

Mallaig is a small fishing town at the end of a long road and rail line. This path starts off near the centre and goes on a nice route around the surrounding countryside and comes with amazing views. Easy to follow, this is a nice way to take in the sights on foot with not much effort.

This is a beautiful scenic walk if you have time on your hands. It is very easy apart from a couple of steeper parts but you will be rewarded with stunning views to the Islands and over Mallaig Harbour.
