This is a hidden gem and is a must to visit. The wines are all natural and very reasonably priced. You need to contact them when you want to visit and a sample pack of 7 half bottles will be provided for 70.00 which is well priced. They are all screw cap so you can take them out with you if not finished and you don't have to taste them all. As there were four of us we were able to sample all of them with just a few leftovers. Be sure to bring a picnic lunch as there is an idyllic place under the elms whre you can sit and enjoy for a few hours. The owner, Eckhard is great and will spend a bit of time with you explaining his wines with some local history also. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our afternoon was.

I have nothing but praises to sing for the wonderful experience we had Cliff & Gorge! I have visited many wineries in the Okanagan and California, but the evening we had at Cliff & Gorge was the most special and unforgettable by far. Eckhard was a fantastic, easygoing host and the wine that he makes is superb. He let us know when we booked our tasting that due to COVID-19 the setup for tastings looks different than what they usually do, but in our opinion the alternative that Cliff & Gorge have provided is far superior and preferable to a typical tasting. We were provided 3 bottles of wine for our tasting as well as a corkscrew, vacuum sealer, and wine glasses for $60. Such incredible value. We brought our own dishes, cutlery, and snacks to enjoy in a stunning setting all to ourselves for a few hours. Walking around the trails on the property and enjoying our wine and picnic while the sun was setting was truly heavenly. Do give yourself extra time to navigate the gravel roads if you aren’t used to the mountainous roads around Lillooet and make sure you bring some water. Thank you to Cliff & Gorge for sharing your slice of heaven and your radiant wines with us, it’s an experience we will never forget and we hope to return soon to visit the worlds sweetest pupper!

Check our their website for their COVID wine tasting offering. You basically have a private self-directed wine tasting from 3 wines. Eckhardt, the owner, is eager to share what's going on at the farm and his approach to wine. Certainly a small batch winery and not sold anywhere else. Tables and chairs are set up outside so you can bring your own food. Afterwards, you can do a walk around the farm with the farm dog, Trey (sp?, lol). It was a fabulous, private experience. The winery is about 20 minutes from town, but it was a nice paved drive for about 8-10 kms and the balance is on gravel. Bring sunscreen and water, it was hot, dry and sunny when we went.

I recently had the pleasure of spending time at Cliff and Gorge as part of a girls' weekend. Eckhardt set up a beautiful tasting for us at a long table in the shade of a big willow tree. The wine was excellent (the Petit Milo was my favorite) and Eckhardt was a fantastic host. We were treated like VIPs! The 'by appointment only' tasting meant that we had the tasting area to ourselves and were able to take our time, savor each wine, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Eckhardt and Deanne were even able to set up a helicopter tour of the local mountains and river valley for us. Scott from Blackcomb Helicopters landed on the field beside the tasting area and whisked us away above the mountains - what an experience!

Eckhard has invested a serious amount of thought and energy into making his tastings unique.
Rather than the usual format of stand at the bar, try a couple of wines and leave within 15 minutes with a couple of bottles Eckhard takes the time to sit down with you (while respecting physical distancing) in the beautiful outdoor picnic area and explain to you his process and the wines in detail. After the tasting is finished, you can then walk it off around his beautiful estate.
Oh, and last but certainly not least, the wines Eckhard makes are fantastic, full of structure and very fairly priced. Would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone, whether they're a wine buff or otherwise :)

What a beautiful unique place! We had the good fortune to meet the winemaker. ( at a very safe distance under a willow tree. ) The property is as spectacular as the wine. I have never tasted a white so clean and crisp yet delicate. The Rose is a thirst quencher with layers of flavour. Then the often overlooked Marchel Foch, blackberry and pepper velvet and full of life. Our Guide Trec was cool and kept us on track for the hike of the gorges and cliffs.

We spent an idyllic hot, late summer afternoon at Cliff and Gorge in August 2020. First, we picked up our tasting kit, had a lovely conversation with Eckhard and enjoyed sampling and learning about the varieties of superb organic wines produced there. We then relaxed on the picnic lawn enjoying the wines and the scenery before heading off on a self-guided walk around the property. The walk was spectacular with incredible views over the gorge and surrounding hills. Will definitely return again. Our visit to Cliff and Gorge was one of the highlights of the year - a fantastic experience.

What a remarkable self serve wine tour and our own picnic, and a very enlightening discussion with Eckhard the owner. Eckhard is very knowledgeable regarding his wonderful wines, the history of the area and we got a geography lesson to boot. This winery is like a breath of fresh air!! Truly a delightful experience

Absolutely loves the wine tasting experience and being able to sit and chat with the winemaker. Eckhard has a passion for wine making that was both fascinating and educational. It’s a bit out of the way but worth the time to visit and discuss this
emerging wine destination. Loved both the wine and the location.

We had a wonderful experience during the summer of 2020. We were camping in Lilloet and our host mentioned these guys were further down the road. We took their advice and drove up to it (it's a lovely drive). We had called earlier to book, and were greeted upon arrival. Their experience includes everything you need to try their wines and enjoy the atmosphere of their lovely property. We highly suggest taking a walk and enjoying the loop trails and views along the property as well. The wine was delicious and it was a great experience. Highly Recommend the wine, the view, and the host!
