Why when I went to rent a red floaty "tube-tracker" two days ago was I charged double for deposit and it was full of booze and urine? I mean clearly it was a good thing the river was clean enough to wash it out being just early into the tubing season but once another month passed the river will be just as polluted. The Tube Shack will not see another of my dollars again. Also the tube tracker is online for $60.

Thanks for the questions. As for the double charge of deposit, the tube tracker is a lot more expensive for us to purchase than a regular tube which is why we have to charge a larger deposit. The trackers have become a little too popular that we have had a few go missing and have now changed our deposits to a driver license.
Just to clarify, deposits are fully refunded to customers upon return of the tube, so no added costs for the rental price.
Tubes and trackers are cleaned out at the end of the day and we are very sorry we didn't catch the mess in the tracker between rentals.
Unfortunately we do have customers that don't abide by general cleanliness. We do offer garbage bags, discourage people from drinking alcohol while tubing and have washrooms well sign posted along the river.
You are correct, trackers are available online and after taxes, shipping and exchange rate, cost $76.
