The Tube Shack operation is very smooth and efficient, dealing with large groups of customers. The tubes are clean, comfortable, easy to carry the short distance to the water. First half of tubing is going through residential areas and very, very slow, unless one puts the paddles to work. Following that, a little "acceleration" downstream beautiful nature and mild rapids provide for a lot of enjoyment. One drawback in our view was, there are too many floats on the river including very large groups floating together causing real traffic jams.

Thanks for the review! We are sorry to hear about the tube traffic. If you are looking for a calmer float we definitely recommend booking on an early week day!

I had never been tubing before, and this was my first time in the lake. I was impressed with how organized Tube Shack were and how they have all the tubes ready for you, including tubes for your cooler boxes if you have pre-ordered one. The great thing is that at the end of your 2 hour float down the river, the van is there to pick you up with the tube and take you back to the car park.

Our whole family went. From 9 years old to 57. We used the Swift Tubes because they come with paddles and the bottom is closed. It's such a beautiful atmosphere, going down the river. Lots of trees and some nice shady spots. A few shallow spots, you can just push with your foot. Some quick spots too which is fun! And the shuttle back is very professional.

This was a great experience at a very fair price! It was completely our own fault that we were running late (the last tubes should go in the river by 3:30pm), and the crew there definitely were hurrying us along as they were worried we won’t make it down river for the last shuttle at 6:30pm. The directions to the parking lot were confusing so I had to drive around and back to ask again, and cell reception was poor in the area and no one picked up the phone at the tube shack. It was a fun ride, and if you’re not looking to get stuck in the first non-moving water part of the river, I highly recommend getting the swift tube upgrade. We got in the river after 4pm and got to the end point by 6pm, but we did panick a little and paddled pretty hard at the start. Again, totally our own fault so I would still highly recommend using the tube shack!

Thanks for the review! We are sorry that the parking lot instructions were not clearly given at the beginning of your time with us. The river can definitely be slow on some days especially if the wind is pushing you back, we appreciate the hustle to be back for the last shuttle!

Water level is so low, we got stuck a few times and it became more of a workout than leisure. Also, the service and facility is lacking - only portable washroom and no storage for keys, and the bag given leaks. Not great overall but just enough.

Sorry to hear that you didn’t have the best experience. Mid August the river definitely tends to be a bit lower but as the level is controlled by a weir it’s high enough to tube, you may just have to watch out for some rocks. There are public washrooms across the park from us that are available to use as well but as they are usually pretty busy we like to provide portable toilets as well so that people don’t have to wait as long. COVID has changed many things for businesses and for us that means that we can no longer hold keys. However, we sold dry bags earlier in the season and now that we’ve sold out we provide Ziplock bags free of charge to keep your keys dry. It’s very unfortunate that yours was not sealed and leaked. We hope to see you again for a better experience, perhaps earlier in the season to avoid the lower water levels.
