a very small but varied selection of produce, baked goods, pickles, preserves, wine, meat and plants...just some really nice folk out trying to sell some of their goods. Great location, easy access with a big parking lot. I'll check it out again as the summer produce comes in.

We wait with anticipation for our local Wednesday morning Farmers' Market to arrive and set up shop in the Colonia parking lot. A good selection of veggies, fruits, herbs, meats bakery items and crafts. A Grand Bend tradition for us from May to October!!!!

For a small town this market offers a lot. Organic fruit and vegetables abound as does organic meat from local farmers. Maria, the original flower lady, is a 'must stop'. For $5.00 you can get a lovely vase full of garden flowers arranged by her.

Wednesday morning in Grand Bend in the Colonial Hotel parking lot - beside the Beer Store. Great little farmer's market. Lots of homemade bread, squares, tarts. Zelda has her famous spice mixtures and seasoned salt. Lots of fresh vegetables.
I was short on time, but managed to buy some lemon tarts - delish, and some fresh kale.
To my delight, there was even a live band playing!
There's also a variety of fresh flowers, jewellery, and much more. You never know what will be available from one week to the next.

Enjoyed visiting this activity and tasting local products and especially homemade breads and the famous "butter tarts." So much watching and learning on what people sell: homemade organic soaps, jewelry, vegetables, fruits, wood handcrafted items, and more!

The Grand Bend farmer's Market was split in two this past season, half at the Anglican Church and half at the museum. I think the market is too small especially at the beginning and end of the season to be split into two locations. I would prefer that all the venders were together at the St. John by the Lake Anglican church.
I live an equal distance from both locations but travelling to both takes twice the time.
