Have been going to Grand Bend for decades. This was the first time taking my teen girls there. Lots of things to do and tons of restaurants. The beach is amazing with lots of room. Late night sunsets are also a must.

The beach is really hit or miss which sucks because you have to book so far in advance to get a good place to stay. When there are good waves it's pretty awesome but when there's not much movement with the water I find it kinda gross. Stay away from the left side of the pier. There is no movement over there so the water is really stagnant and a lot of garbage piles up over there.

ZERO PARKING.
Bad drivers everywhere, if you want to get into an accident this is the place to go. Drove around for 2 hrs trying to find parking! VERY DISAPPOINTED

We went there on a Monday so we had the beach all to ourselves. Even parking was free because the machines were down when we visited. And since it was a Monday which was right after the busy weekend only one restaurant was open for lunch. We had lunch at Growling Gator which was directly infront of the viewing deck in the beach.

The sand here is not as fine as the Pinery Provincial Park beach. But there are many restaurants before you enter the beach area. You only pay for Parking but entry is free.

A little too crowded for me. Stores nearby are tacky. Geared towards a younger crowd in the summer evenings. Still interesting to see but wouldn't return due to how busy it was. Stores were quite expensive and had the same merchandise as every beach town. Enjoyed the beaches at The Pinery better.

Beautiful beach and there are so many activities available to do. There are some good restaurants near and around the beach.

This was our fourth nd final trip this summer and I was really impressed. This is the ONLY fully commercialized location for tourists in Ontario! Wasaga beach can't come to a second place even close. We stayed at Blue Water motel (room #104 and #110) very close to beach (3-4 min by car). Room 104 has one double bed and after that we upgraded to a 2-double-bed room, all of them are appropriately sized, well equipped and clean. If you are lucky, you can book Bonnie Doone right at the beach or air B&B at Tipsy Pelican. Lots of bars, souvenir shops, ice cream parlours and restaurants make the charming Main Street experience. The beach is vast, provided with splash pads, showers, bathrooms and a look out spot. Choose you vacation carefully, Huron is nice when the weather is hot (mid-summer), because the place is exposed to winds and waves all the time. Tips: don't shell out extra money for premium accommodation, you'll be carrying your family and beach stuff by your car anyways. Please try out para-sailing (different from para gliding) where the speed boat drags you around while you are flying above the water with a parachute. Price is $170 for 2 people for 10 minutes, but you are riding a boat with 6 other customers for another 30 minutes. The parachute can lift up to 3 people (light weight, like kids) at a time and it's perfectly safe. Have your family record your brave efforts in the air! You can always rent a bout or pontoon boat for your company at a reasonable price. Please try to visit the South Beach, which is on the other side of the river (closer to campgrounds), where there is no lifeguards and you can do basically anything you want. This is the ONLY place that reminds me of Europe's vacation towns, with all the music, relaxed atmosphere and beach fun they offer. We didn't explore any wine estates in the neighbourhood, but there are plenty. Next time: if my health conditions allow, we will try parasailing and we will stay at the Bonnie's manor, a perfect spot to watch sunsets (if you are into it). Money well spent...

My family and I went to Grand Bend for a weekend and enjoyed it a lot.
The beach ⛱️ is very beautiful. The water is turquoise blue, soft sand, very large beach. The beach is clean and well maintained. Dogs 🐕 🐶 aren't allowed, alcoholic beverages also. Large tent too. There's supervision. Public parking costs $25/day. Others parking areas $40-$50.
There are many good shops on Main Street, as well as good restaurants.
It's without a doubt a great place to enjoy a beach.
I made a YouTube video about Grand Bend: "Why is Grand Bend so popular?" Take a look, you will like the video.
