Pack a lunch and take your time to enjoy the view once you reach the top, the view is spectacular and its a very pieceful place to sit and enjoy the view. But be warned it is a step climb and not for the infirm,...More

Web actually started on the woodland walk which ended up halfway up conical where it links up with the track. Well maintained track although it being late winter it was very soft and muddy underfoot.

The walk up Conical Hill is a must do activity when you visit Hanmer Springs. The path is wide (although at times it can be muddy) and the track winds back and forth up the hill, often with a bench seat at the corner of...More

Great views if your keen for a hike up the hill. Beautiful snowy mountain top! Muddy at the moment. Around 60mins return. Moderate hill climb to the top!

Great views and a good little climb up there. It didn't take too long, and gave the lungs a good workout

Walked this track on a foggy cold day. The track was only marginally slushy despite the poor weather and lots of climbers. Were rewarded with a fantastic view - even with the mountains heads in the clouds. Great activity to do with the kids to...More

Do it once. You see the view and it's pretty but not the best thing about the walk. We entered the hill via the Woodlands walk which was very pretty. Frozen dam and the beautiful California pines. This was the real highlight. The walk, from...More
