Really enjoyed the walk and recommend returning via the Majuba - Woodland Walk as it is quite beautiful including trees from different countries signposted.

Moderate walk up the hill-walking shoes recommended.stroll through forestry-listening to the birdsong.amazing view overlooking HANMER and out to the moutain ridges.well worth the 15minute walk up the hill.

Nice forest walk but the view on the hill is nothing special in nz. I would say the view was a quite dissapointing since the location is in first place on hanmers sights. Maby after mt cook every view looks quite lame ;)

everytime we go to Hanmer Springs we walk up Conical Hill before hopping into the hot springs. easy walk, mostly shaded. there's at least one picnic table up there.
