I got this as a gift for my daughter's 24th birthday. Don't know how I will top this? Payton was paired with Munro a very handsome, intelligent and alert Llama, very well matched. And I was paired with Inca a more docile Llama very cuddly and adorable, so much so I fell in love and wanted to bring him home! The tour was very informative and so much fun leading our Llama around stopping at many different trees for them to snack on the leaves... they were very popular in town and at the restaurant where we had lunch. Munro and Inca were very well behaved and very hard to say goodbye to... highly recommend this Llama lunch date!

Suzi & Tony organised a 5 day trek. Amazing homemade cooking & meals. Lots of activities trekked up river beds, into hidden valleys thru bush with llamas swam in river, went eeling, clay & target shooting. G&Ts up on a ridge. Hot spa, crisp linen and great beds . Saw native animals and enjoyed the outdoor wonderland. Nz at its greatest.

We had the best weekend ever thanks to Suzi and Tony! That's the best and most exceptional experience we could get for a special date!

I organised a 30th surprise birthday for my partner who LOVES llamas.

Suzi was here to provide her recommendations - which was perfect for our needs. We had an amazing weekend with a Llama day trek/walk on the Saturday and a Llama fishing trip on Sunday! We also had great surprises on top which included cheese and wine for my partner.

If you want to have a delightful and unique experience don't hesitate any longer and get in touch with this beautiful couple!

Thank you so much - we'll be back!

Thanks so much for your review Irina and Garrick, we enjoyed your company just as much and really appreciate the fact that you chose us for such a special celebration. It was an absolute pleasure to share your genuine love for our llama boys. We're looking forward to sharing more time with you both on a backcountry llama experience. Cheers Suzi and Tony

We did an 8 day trek and highly recommend the experience. We had our 14 year old son with us and he loved it as well. It was the perfect combination of trekking with the llamas and having time in camp to fish, do day walks, swim or just enjoy the beautiful scenery. Tony, Sam and Keith were fabulous hosts who made sure we had a good time. Not having to carry a heavy backpack, but still getting 8 days out was great and getting to know each of the llamas added to the experience.

We had the best day with Tony, Joey and Bandit on our 1-day trek. We explored Hanmer town and forest, learning about some local history on the way. Lunching with the llamas at the table was pretty special! Thanks so much!

We booked a llama tour for six adults (three couples, ages 30s through 50s) and had an absolute blast! Tony, Stewart, and their llamas – Flash, Rip, Josh, Joey, Inca, and Bandit – were wonderful company, and the walking tour was a perfect introduction to the town of Hanmer Springs. It’s impossible NOT to be happy with a llama by your side! This is a must-do in Hanmer Springs. It’s a truly great experience – not a tourist trap, not “just for kids,” but really, really fun and relaxing. You’ll get incredible photos, too, and lots of quality time with each other AND your llamas!

Highly recommend this unique experience. Tony is an awesome guide; knowledgeable, approachable, and definitely helps nervous people feel they can participate fully with the Llamas.
We did the day trek (two adults and two eleven year olds). This trek gave us ample time with the Llamas, and a delicious lunch was provided.
Llamas are soft, very quite walkers, easily lead and make the cutest noises when they talk.
If you are wondering should you do this...just do it!!!
The trek is at your own pace, is relaxing and creates beautiful memories.

We absolutely loved our day out! It was great getting to see parts of Hanmer that we hadn’t yet explored and even better to do it with such friendly guides! The llamas were so well behaved but full of character and you could really see the love and loyalty between them and their very welcoming and knowledgeable “dad”. We would love to come back and do a longer trip so that we can spend more time with the llamas. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to do something a bit different who loves an enjoyable day out whilst making new friends.

Hanmer Llamas was an unforgettable experience! Suzi made it so easy to book and accomodate our needs. The meeting place is easy to find, simply in the heart of Hanmer Springd, right outside the thermal spa! We were greeted by Tony who brought two calm and friendly Llamas, Joey and Rip. Joey was strapped with side bags and he carried both our bags and waters! We got to brush and bond with them before we each had hold of the leash and took the boys around town. Tony was informative and shared his caring knowledge of the llamas and the history of Hanmer. We trekked through the back streets, in a few woods and it was just such a pleasant experience! You even get a lunch with the price of your ticket. It was worth every penny!!!! Thank you Tony, Suzi, Joey and Rip!!!!

We visit Hanmer from time to time and this is one activity we will truly remember. Tony and Suzi are amazing! Both have great sense of humour, very knowledgable about llamas, and take their time out to get to know you. All their llamas are rescues and are very friendly. You certainly won't go unnoticed when you walk around the town's centre! Thanks, Tony and Suzi! xx
