Plenty of choice of pools. Spa adults only. Up to 40 degrees. In hot weather recommend pools for late afternoon to evening time. Very busy place all day. Cost $17 per adult over age 60.

Stopped by on our way from Nelson to Christchurch. We got the private pool for 30 minutes, definitely with the extra 8 dollars. Had our own indoor hotpool for 30 minutes as well as access to the regular pools. The pools are well set up...More

These mineral hot pools are lovely for an evening soak taking in the alpine surroundings and NZ night skies in Hanmer Springs. Despite the fact that you may only be here for an hour or so, the pools are pricey. Not much change out of...More

This would have been my first visit during bad weather (cold and rainy) and frankly it was my best visit. I have been to the pools a thousand times during very hot summer days and now that I’ve experienced it during cold weather I would...More

Was a bit crowded. And change room was open. Showers not good either. No where to put cloths or to keep towels dry.

I promised my granddaughters a visit here so after a long drive it was a pleasant visit despite the rain. Their faces and excitement was great to watch as they went from pool to pool . Their favourite was the lazy river and the pool...More

.... so there’s no way I’m complaining!!! But, be prepared for it to be very busy and full of children. At $24, I think the benefits of a spa outweigh the problems.

The most relaxing time! Lovely pools, facilities and GF food available. If you need time to just do nothing and enjoy soaking in warm pools then this is the place for you. You will not regret the visit!

We had planned to be in Hanmer Springs to visit the pools on the particular day we went several months in advance simply because of a hectic schedule elsewhere, so had no choice in the weather. On the day we were there, violent storms which...More

Hi Sorcha, There are a few sheltered spots around the sides of the facility, including umbrellaed areas around some of the pools. It would still be advised to bring a jacket or warm clothing if you plan to be a spectator... More

Hi, the freshwater pool is 25 metres long. Just note that we have one lane roped off for lap swimming most days - the exceptions are public holidays (and the weekend attached to public holidays), and school holidays.
