We were fortunate to receive 3 feet of snow while there, which made terrain unstable in certain areas. Guides kept safety a top priority, digging pits and cutting. Obviously this made for amazing conditions once it settled though! They include airbags at no additional charge- huge plus since it's hard to travel with those. The terrain was AMAZING. Sure, there are trees. If you want a completely open run, then stick to ski resorts. The guides always had a nice line to follow out and they have done substantial glading the last year to help clear some areas. It's not advertised as a beginner back country operation and I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't comfortable skiing through glades/off the map lines in a typical resort. The food and atmosphere is top notch. I really enjoyed the lunch with hot soup, sandwiches and snacks on the cat. Speaking of the cat- you face forward in leather chairs while your gloves, helmet and goggles warm up. Perfect. It was nice to disconnect, but still be able to do basic functions on wifi (text and check email- don't expect to facetime or instagram). Loved the hot tub, outdoor fire pit for apres ski and their Keefer Lake Pilsner is a great beer to unwind with.

Five of us spent 3 days at Keefer Lake cat skiing in mid-January '20. Our expectations were surpassed in every way. Lodge was top notch, staff was incredible and the skiing terrain and conditions were excellent. We skiied extensively in the trees and the snow was light and dry. Windy conditions made exposed open areas a bit challenging at the higher elevations, but Chris, our lead guide, always found great snow and lines for the group to enjoy. K.L. is only going to continue getting better and better as they continue to glade more terrain. We look forward to returning!

From the moment you pull up to the door you are treated like a king. The skiing, the terrain the amenities are the Best of the Best. We skied untracked, bottomless pow for 4 days in early January. WOW, is an understatement, from steep and deep like "New Hope" to some sweet cruising runs through the gladed trees Gostlin Keefer lake Lodge did not disappoint. The Guides were professional and they always made sure we were having a good time. As someone who's done a considerable amount of pow skiing, this place Rocks! The Food and Apres are out of this world. What other Catskiing operation has Hot Wood Fired Pizza and Adult Beverages waiting for you when you get out of the cat? Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge does and the Pizza, AMAZING! You definitely want to put Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge on you r Catskiing Bucketlist.
