This fort is a pretty long drive from Ganpatipule, and very difficult to find, even via Maps. There is nothing to see here. It is not maintained at all. It is just walls of the fort and grass growing inside. Can be avoided.

Yes, it is in very poor condition now a days. Nobody take care of the fort and now only walls are remained.

The site is managed by Archaeological survey of India. This is fort is build just near to sea and have history Many Kingdoms and Famous one Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Jaigad kila is located in ratnagiri at the distance of 14km from ganpatipula temple the nearby power plant and the open sea area and also near by private jetty for ship drydocking.

Fort is deserted , however views are good from the top of the fort of the sea and the natural view around ....should be visited once if you are in Ganpatipule or Ratnagiri
