The Gruber Museum is in the former home of Franz Xaver Gruber who composed the music for the Christmas carol, Silent Night. He was a teacher, church caretaker and church organist at Pfarrkirche Sankt Anthon right across the street. Great place to take in the history of Franz Gruber and Joseph Mohr and the history of the Christmas carol, Silent Night. It is tucked away at the top of the hill --just keep walking towards the tall church steeple ( that was the church where Gruber was the organist) and then you will see the yellow building (which was... Walk up to the main church with terrible concrete tower and turn right. You will see little odd grave of famous priest and composer Franz Xaver Gruber.
