Hallstatt is the most gorgeous village you will ever see. Approach it from the lake if possible, and make sure to visit the salt mine, the bone house, and eat fish on the terrace of the Gruener Baum.

Must go for it. 1.15 hr drive from Salzburg via car and in train about 2-2:30 hr. It's beautiful so when you in Austria spare time for it bcz austria is all about natural beauty. There is beautiful town, skywalk, salt mine and scenic beauty.
